The biggest structural challenge of the renovation was to remove several walls to merge the rooms on the first floor. Lam beams have been added to structurally support the new large space with a bright and open feel.
Before the renovation, the exterior of the house was plain brown brick. The characteristic whitening effect was achieved by a technique known as the German mortar smear.
Several walls have been removed to create this open floor plan that combines the kitchen, dining area and living room.
